Central Miami Institute is dedicated to strengthening public understanding and confidence in clinical research. We work in conjunction with pharmaceutical companies to conduct research studies that determine the safety and effectiveness of investigative medication for a wide range of illnesses and conditions.
 
This research center is led by Dr. Leonardo Alonso, M.D. who is an expert in Internal Medicine, Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. He has been an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Geriatrics at the University of Miami Medical School and has authored several scientific articles. He has also served as principal and/or sub investigator of multiple clinical trials for mental health, antidepressants, and Alzheimer’s medication in the US.
